A new streetwise mentality is necessary. We teach our children not to talk to strangers. Most people are aware in the real world of where the divisions lie on what information to divulge to whom most of the time.

In less than ten years the internet, databases & connectivity have gone from being not noticed by most people to mainstream and normal.

This excellent post, for me, explains how reputation management must not only be pro-active but also the new streetwise in the connected world.
